Indulgent Parenting

In this parenting style the parent is responsive but not demanding.

Parent impose very few behavioral expectations on their child, but are very nurturing and accepting. They tend to be very responsive to a child’s needs and wishes. The child is not required to regulate themselves or behave appropriately.

Grocery stores market to the indulgent parent by placing toys, candy, gum and more at the checkout lanes.

The product of indulgent parenting is a child that is spoilt, self centered kids who expect to get everything their own way.
