Authoritative Parenting

In this parenting style the parent is demanding and responsive.

This is more of a child centered approach in which the child is held to high expectations of maturity while allowing them to find outlets to problems. This style allows independence, but places limits and controls on actions.

The product of this parenting style is a child that has clear boundaries and consequenses (both positive and negative) with a focus on positive virtue and praise.
