Volunteer Assistance Program Has New Website

If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, a way to track your volunteer hours, or nominate someone for the Air Force Volunteer Excellence Award, visit the new Volunteer Assistance Program website!

This website is a part of the Volunteer Assistance Program at the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Per AFI 36-3009, paragraph 3.11, the Airman & Family Readiness Center uses the Volunteer Assistance Program to assist the installation commander and collaborates with other base volunteer agencies to recruit, train, place, and recognize volunteer service.

On this site we will post volunteer opportunities that are sent to us. If you are apart of an organization that needs a volunteer, let us know about it. Send an email with the details about the volunteer opportunity, your organization, and your contact information to volunteer@ellsworthafrc.org.

If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, you can register yourself to be notified via email anytime we post something new. And when you no longer want to receive those emails, you can unregister yourself. You can also follow our posts on Twitter at https://twitter.com/EAFB_Volunteers.

Browse the local charities that have volunteer opportunities and contact them directly.

As you begin volunteering, track your volunteer hours using the President’s Volunteer Service Award. It’s great for those EPRs and OPRs!

The Air Force Volunteer Excellence Award (VEA) is a commander’s program to recognize volunteer contributions across the installation. We can provide the commanders information about the nomination process and due dates for the award packages.
