FY2013 brings changes to your Airman & Family Readiness Center

As fiscal year 2012 comes to a close, we here at the Ellsworth AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center are preparing for some significant changes at our center.

Most importantly, we will be closed to customers (except for emergency cases only)  beginning Wednesday, October 3rd through Friday, October 5th to make some physical changes to our Center. Remember that Monday, October 8th is a Federal Holiday so we will reopen on Tuesday, October 9th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

When we reopen we will have a new entrance and lobby to the Center. As you enter the Southeast entrance of the Rushmore Center our entrance will be right across from the doors. Our phone number (385-4663) and fax number (385-6322) will remain the same.

As of October 1, 2012 we will no longer be providing hardcopy sponsorship packages. Packages can either be electronic or paper.  It is the sponsors responsibility to ask how the newcomer would prefer to receive a package. The electronic link can be found on our Relocations Sponsorship page while your Unit Intro Monitor will have the supplies for the paper version.   For questions on how to send a package, contact the Mail Center at 385-4171 or your squadron activity distribution mailroom.

Sponsorship training will still be required to be completed annually via the CBT link which can also be found on our Relocations Sponsorship page. After the sponsor completes his/her online training an official certificate is available to print in E-SAT which will need to be provided to your Unit Intro Monitor.

In November 2012, the new Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop is due to kick off. The most significant changes are that the TAP workshop will be mandatory for all service members. Additionally, the TAP workshop will be extended to 5 days instead of our current 3.5 days. Keep checking back to our website for updates on the program and required actions by the member.

We looking forward to serving you in FY2013!
